Gracing Cornwall with an inaugural performance, Richard Ashcroft, a two-time Ivor Novello Award winner (Songwriter of the Year in 1998 and Outstanding Contribution to British Music in 2019), has cemented his legacy with five Top 5 solo albums, including his chart-topping debut, Alone With Everybody. Rising to fame as frontman of The Verve, he helped create one of the biggest albums of the era, Urban Hymns—the UK’s 18th best-selling album of all time—featuring timeless anthems like ‘Bittersweet Symphony’, ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’, ‘Lucky Man’, and ‘Sonnet’, all of which remain staples of his live shows. His most recent release, Acoustic Hymns (2022), reached No.2 on the UK Album Chart, reaffirming his musical influence.
